The institute will be affiliated to Board of Technical Education Utter Pradesh after getting approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi.
The prime objective, however, is to extend Diploma educational facilities in industrially advanced area of capital and to provide proper exposure to students.
The setting up of a new Technical Institute at Lucknow has been initiated to develop students in shape and a pace with the time. Lucknow, which is State Capital of Uttar Pradesh, provides the best platform to coordinate institution industry collaboration. Although R. R. Institute of Modern Polytechnic, Lucknow will establish strong bonds with top and senior level practicing managers of the industry and will organize workshops, conferences and short courses on regular basis where special efforts will be made to be made to get representation from Industry and corporate organizations with best managerial practices operating in the region.
R. R. Institute of Modern Polytechnic will provide a wide horizon to students at its campus. The main feature of the Institute will be to emphasis on shaping and nurturing students for application of knowledge the Institute will also aim for obtaining up projects to promote interactive networking with industries. The campus will have enhanced networking project-research work, additional inputs to syllabi and increased allocation of funds. The need for setting the new institution also arose due to the fact that companies like Reliance, TCS, Infosys, Intel etc., have proposed to make heavy investments in U.P. and adjoining state Uttranchal which will make available a large number of employment opportunities in abundance. The plan will also focus on increased private participation in the Diploma of Colleges, research in frontier areas of knowledge and meeting challenges in the area of internalization of Indian education. Institute of Modern Polytechnic, Lucknow will contribute in providing proper infrastructure and facility for imparting qualitatively improved technical education and will match with the pace of the growth pattern defined in Tenth Plan for Technical Education.
